It's a good time to enter into Malaysia condominium market for investors looking for a long-term investment now and price will appreciate over the decade, which is the opinion of Nixon Paul, president of the Malaysia Institute of Estate Agents (MIEA), speaking to publication earlier this month.
Due to a lot of uncertainty in Europe and United States, most people are very cautious adopting a "wait-and-see" approach. While Malaysia real estate market don't expect to see any slowdown for property transactions within the RM300,000-to-RM600,000 range and Paul believe there will still be a lot of activity within this segment.
However, Paul cautioned investors relying on rental income that they may find it difficult to cover the cost of a loan due to the current oversupply of condominiums.
At the beginning of March, MIEA will host its annual real estate convention to boost the development of the real estate industry. The theme will be: Property Investment, the Way Forward.
