"Frozen 2" is already in the works and fans of the hit animated franchise now know a few things about the upcoming sequel. According to speculations, a villain from the first movie will be returning.
Prince Hans broke everyone's trust when he fooled Queen Elsa and Princess Anna into thinking that he had good intentions when what he actually wanted was to get Arendelle all for himself. According to Cross Map, Prince Hans had a massive change of heart and will even prove himself worthy of regaining Queen Elsa's trust - not that she had ever completely trusted him to begin with.
In the first animated film, Prince Hans almost severed the sisterly relationship between Elsa and Anna. He managed to make the latter fall in love with him so quickly. They sang "Love is An Open Door" with such adorable charm that no one expected his evil motives for wanting to marry Anna. Apparently, he just wanted the two sisters to die.
Now that he is back in Arendelle, rumor has it that he will be Elsa's love interest. He will want to prove to Elsa that he can truly be trusted. To do that, he will help in saving the town from yet another villain who happens to be the polar opposite of Elsa and her powers.
According to the rumor mill, the new villain in "Frozen 2" will be a woman. No other details were provided regarding this alleged new villain except for the speculation that "she is a bit fiery." However, the production team and the confirmed cast managed to keep their lips sealed about the much awaited sequel's plot.
It was already confirmed that Idina Menzel will be reprising her role and will be lending her voice to Elsa once again. Josh Gad will also be returning for Olaf's voice. However, Venture Capital Post reported that Kirsten Bell has not yet been confirmed to be part of the "Frozen 2" cast, which is actually in contrast to other news sources.
Walt Disney CEO Robert Iger has spoken up about the delay in the production of the sequel. According to him, the studio is never after speed alone but is focused on giving the public excellent results. Since the original movie was so successful that it set records, patience has to be imbued into the making of the sequel to make it a sure hit as well.
"Frozen 2" will be directed by a dynamic duo, Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, while Peter Del Vecho is already onboard to produce it.
