The newest title for the action-role series "Kingdom Hearts" won't be hitting the shelves until 2016. The game has been expected to launch before the close of this year.
According to Master Herald, that game's developer and publisher Square Enix is still working on the game's graphics and technical visuals for the next generation gaming consoles.
"Tetsuya Nomura, game director of 'Kingdom Hearts 3,' disclosed that his team is currently doing research concerning graphics of the game to be able to meet the technical requirements of the next generation gaming consoles.
He said that the development team is not satisfied with the current look of the game so they are all working heavily to ensure that 'Kingdom Hearts 3' comes out perfect in terms of visuals and quality. The creator said that when the game is finished, it will have brush-like visuals."
As reported earlier the delays may have also been caused by the death of voice actors Leonard Nimoy and Chikao Otsuka along with the challenges that come with switching in game technology. Mid-way through game production, a source shared that the game switched to the Unreal Engine.
"We're using Unreal Engine 4 right now, and that really has changed the way we make the game," game designer Tai Yasue said, quoted Christian Post.
Lastly, it's also possible that other existing projects like "Final Fantasy Versus III," taking up some of the time of the development team, added Master Herald.
