As "Avengers: Age of Ultron" releases worldwide, actress Scarlett Johansson has just teased some details regarding another upcoming Marvel blockbuster.
Speaking to Reuters at the "Avengers" sequel red carpet, the new mom offered a comment on what to expect from "Captain America: Civil War" film.
"I can't elaborate too much on it," quoted the publication of the actress -- who stars as Natasha Romanoff/ Black Widow -- during the London premiere on Tuesday night. "But as the scope of these movies is larger and larger and the danger kind of looms larger and larger, I don't want to say that the film has a darker tone, but the film has a darker tone and I think it's maturing along with the fans," she continued.
This isn't the first time we've heard of 30-year-old beauty talk about her character in a darker tone. In a separate interview with IGN:
"I think that the Widow's past will always haunt her. She's trying to move forward, she's trying to pick up the pieces of her life. I think we'll see parts of that in Cap 3 when we find her. And certainly she has a greater purpose, and I think that greater purpose is charged by this need to escape her past. So, it's always kind of right there, kind of looming over her shoulders."
Captain America: Civil War Plot
The third installment of the popular superhero franchise is going to divide the Avengers into two groups. So far we know that the teams will be lead by Captain America and Iron Man, who are on opposing sides abut the Superhero Registration Act.
Recalling an earlier article published by Realty Today, rumors indicate that the Captain will be joined by Black Widow, Hawkeye and Falcon while Iron Man is backed by The Vision, War Machine and Ant-Man. Other characters who will be "somewhere in the mix" include Scarlett Witch and the Black Panther.
Apparently the birth and issue regarding the SRA will be caused by supervillain Crossbones who will cause massive destruction that will cause the government to enforce the said law.
"Captain America: Civil War" is set to open on May 6, 2016.
Co-stars set to heat up the silver screen with Johansson include Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/ Iron Man), Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/ Captain America), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Daniel Bruhl (Baron Zemo).
