With the "F1 2015" scheduled for a launch to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles this June, many fans of the title have expressed their concern over the game's graphics. Reports circulated that the developers at Codemasters are now close to hitting their 60fps mark that bring them at close competition to rival "Project Cars."
Codemasters revealed in an earlier statement that their upcoming car racing game would have one of the best graphics once it gets released to the current generation consoles in June.
According to Gamepur, "F1 2015" would run on 1080p at 60fps on the PlayStation 4 while it would be at 900p at 60fps on the Xbox One. While the firm announced these specifications, it seems that the game still need a lot of work to achieve this.
In an interview with the Examiner, designer Steven Embling admitted that while the target is 60fps, their current work is yet to attain this.
"We're aiming for 60fps ad we're very close to that now on PlayStation 4. Obviously the team are optimizing right until the end and it's looking like we're going to hit that target," the designer said.
This is the first time that Codemasters would release the game to consoles and there are still many things they are currently learning in terms of developing it for the said platforms.
He added, "Everyone who is working on optimization and the art, they need to get used to the new memory budgets that the new generation of consoles will allow them."
With the current struggle in bringing the game to their intended benchmark, it might seem that the developers in Codemasters are pressured to do so with the revelation that its rival video game, Slightly Mad Studio's "Project Cars," is confirmed to arrive to consoles on a 60fps specs.
The game that would come earlier in May confirmed that it would arrive to PlayStation 4 consoles in 1080p/60fps and a 900p/60fps for the Xbox One, noted Playstation Lifestyle.
As the developers are hard at work in meeting the graphics benchmark, it is reported that they are also doing their best to add more 2015 car models to the roster, noted Venture Capital Post.
Embling revealed, "It's a bit of a mad rush this time because obviously with the 2015 cars they're all relatively new, but they're coming in now and we're just getting them in the game."
He added, "We've got unique recordings for every engine now, all the way up until the end of the rev-range. So we can plonk that into the game and it sounds a lot better than previous titles."
"F1 2015" is arriving to PS4, Xbox One, and PC in June 2015.
