The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 5, which will be out by November this year, might shine over Apple's iPhone 7 Plus. The Korean tech company has actually been stepping up their game by giving today's mobile market high-end devices with top-of-the-line features.
Its most recent flagships, the Galaxy S6 Edge and the Galaxy S6, were both treated as successful units. Despite the fact that Apple has the iPhone 7 Plus coming right up, Samsung does not seem to be fazed at all.
Apparently, Samsung also has a new device up its sleeve. The Galaxy Note 5, which is rumored to be out by September this year, will reportedly revolutionize the entire Samsung brand. According to Inquisitr, the upcoming flagship will be released around the same time that the iPhone 7 Plus will also be hitting the market. Rumor has it that both rivaling units will be launched at the IFA event which will be held in Berlin on September.
Venture Capital Post reported that Galaxy Note 5 will actually be the first device ever to sport a 4K display. Apart from that, it will also be loaded with cool features, such as a "Touch ID" button and a retina scanner which shines over today's fingerprint scanner.
Roh Tae-Moon, the executive vice president of Samsung's product strategy team, possibly revealed to Value Walk that the company's upcoming flagship phablet will be featuring a dual-edge display. This new feature is actually being marketed as a huge part of Samsung's future portfolio, which the company decided to debut in their Galaxy Note 5.
Tech Times also confirmed that Samsung will be bringing an all-new Ultra HD 3840 x 2160 pixel technology to the devices to be released in 2015. This data was reportedly obtained from the presentation slides of Samsung's Analyst Days. Moreover, the report mentioned that the Galaxy Note 5 will be available in two screen size variants, the 5.78-inch dual edge version and the 5.89-inch flat display version.
Although the unit is going to come out packed with new features, it will also be retaining some of the brand's older ones such as the Super AMOLED feature. Plus, its screen will be retaining its relatively standard phablet size of 5.9 inches. Its battery life has been increased to 4,000 mAh from its predecessor's 3,220 mAh.
To set it apart from the others of its kind, its screen sports a curved feature - one that has reportedly been patented by its rival American company, Apple. Moreover, it has the capability to support the Korean company's Gear VR. Despite the reported patent, rumor has it that the Galaxy Note 5's features are ahead of those of the iPhone 7 Plus.
