More details regarding the upcoming Marvel blockbuster, "Captain America: Civil War" has been revealed by actors Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans.
For those who have been following the plots surrounding the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the events stemming from Iron Man, Captain America and the most recent film, "Avengers: Age of Ultron," have affected the perspective of two specific Avengers.
According to the Associated Press, Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) is focused on transparency and order while Captain America (Chris Evans) has been thinking more about his principles and the soldier's code of obedience.
"Morality hits Tony, humanity hits Tony. All of a sudden he feels responsible," admitted Chris Evans and adds, "Neither one of them are blindly convicted. It's blurry and that's what makes it great. No one's right, no one's wrong."
"It's going to make it even harder for them to come to an agreement, which I'm really excited about," teased Downey which indicates definite conflict.
As earlier reported, Captain America will lead a group that is against the registration of superhuman powers while Iron Man is all for it. The third installment of "Captain America" subtitled, "Civil War" will feature the divide between the heroes when it comes to the Superhero Registration Act which is being put into effect by the government.
Both Evans and Downey are confirmed to appear in the film and Evans describes the relationship between Iron Man and The Cap to be like a marriage.
"We love each other but it's explosive. You're working toward the same goal but you have very different approaches to it," said Evans while Downey added, "I'm really stoked to see when we have more stuff to actually do together besides like act like we're about to have a fight one day."
During an earlier interview, RDJ had an appearance on the "Late Show With David Letterman" where he provided an update regarding the "Civil War" film and teased a Spider-Man appearance.
"Well, it's called Civil War," said "The Judge" star. "And there was a strain of comics where Captain America and Iron Man, they went on different sides, and they fought each other," said the actor but stressed neither characters are evil.
He reveals that the film will begin shooting in a few weeks and when asked about an appearance by Spider-Man, "He may well be. Yeah, I hear that they're looking to cast a new Spider-Man," but didn't confirm the web-slinger's inclusion in the movie.
"Captain America: Civil War" opens in cinemas May 6, 2016 with Anthony and Joe Russo set to direct the franchise's newest installment. No trailer has been released.
The gist of the film (via SlashFilm) is written below:
"Following the events of 'Age of Ultron,' the collective governments of the world pass an act designed to regulate all superhuman activity. This polarizes opinion amongst the Avengers, causing two factions to side with Iron Man or Captain America, which causes an epic battle between former allies."
