‘American Horror Story’ Season 5 ‘Hotel’ Updates: Cast Includes Evan Peters & Kathy Bates – Who Will They Be?

“American Horror Story” Season 5 will be returning to television soon and show creator Ryan Murphy has just revealed the newest addition to the FX horror anthology’s cast. It would seem that a whole lot of “AHS” alumni will be back to be part of “Hotel.”

“This season, Evan Peters will be waiting for you in Room 64,” Murphy wrote on Twitter. “#AHSHotel.”

Apart from Peters, Murphy has also confirmed on Twitter that Sarah Paulson is returning to the show as the “baddest bad girl of them all.” On an interesting note, Paulson is the only member of the cast who has managed to come out of the show alive after every end of season. Fans are now excited to see how she fairs as a villain.

Plus, Paulson and Peters are the only celebrities who have appeared in all of the horror franchise’s five seasons, according to Variety.

It has also been confirmed that Kathy Bates will officially be back to run the hotel, as Murphy indicated on his Twitter page. Her Season 5 participation will mark Bates’s third time to be part of the franchise, having debuted in “American Horror Story: Coven” as the immortal Madame Delphine LaLaurie. She even won an Emmy award for the role. She returned to “American Horror Story: Freak Show” as the bearded lady, Ethel Darling.

Before the confirmation of Bates’s return, however, she spoke to Us Weekly about her hopes of being part of the cast once again. “I am keeping my fingers crossed,” she said. “I sure would love to work with Lady Gaga and I am going to miss Jessica Lange so. I would like to move on and be a part of the new crew. I hope they announce it soon.”

Joining Paulson, Peters and Bates, are the other stars who have already been previously confirmed to be part of the show, namely, Cheyenne Jackson, Wes Bentley, Lady Gaga, Chloe Sevigny, and Matt Bomer.

FX boss John Landgraf has been quite vocal about his intentions of filming “Hotel” in the present time, just like “Murder House” and “Coven.” This means that the spirit world could be an effective outlet for the production to make connections to some terrifying past events that transpired in the hotel, involving other people who work and guests who have stayed there, as reported by Design & Trend.

“American Horror Story: Hotel” will start filming in Los Angeles this summer, and the show has reportedly been slated to return in October.
