Samsung Galaxy S7 Release Date, Specs & Features: Rumors Point to 2016 Launch – What Can We Expect?

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is rumored to be out in the market by 2016. According to a report from Value Walk, there are “whispers emanating from Korea” that the Korean tech company will be aggressively advertising the said device, which will reportedly feature a curved screen, next year.

Venture Capital Post reported that the upcoming flagship smartphone of the brand’s S series will be the mobile counterpart of Samsung’s curved screen television. It would appear that Samsung is pushing forward its new curved screen technology, especially after it got a lot of excellent reviews when it first debuted the feature on the Galaxy Note 4 earlier this year.

Another report from Venture Capital Post indicated that the Galaxy S7 is actually going to be the Korean company’s most ambitious project to date. Not only will it sport the industry’s all new curved screen technology, but it is reportedly also going to host both 4 GB and 6 GB of RAM.

Also, it is reportedly the first smartphone to be made with 4K resolution screen. Unfortunately, it remains unclear whether or not the company will shift from its present super AMOLED technology to the new and highly unique OLED screen technology.

Taking a look at the upcoming device’s speculated features, it certainly looks like Samsung is stepping up in terms of innovation. That said, tablet users will no longer be surprised when the Galaxy S7 becomes the first mobile device to have foldable display.

The company is clearly enhancing its design with every new device it's launching into the market. Starting out with tough plastic casings, the company has now moved on to the production of metal cases – making the units more durable and giving them a more luxurious appeal.

Plus, Samsung has now also started to apply a side panel display that not all smartphones have. With these new innovations, it will not come as a surprise if the Korean company manages to pull of the rumored foldable screen display.

Apart from the unique screen technology, the Galaxy S7 is also rumored to come with improved battery life. When the Galaxy S6 came out, a lot of users were dismayed to find out that the unit lagged behind when it comes to battery life.

The Galaxy S7 will also reportedly incorporate the USB Type-C. This is a new type of USB that gets to transfers any type of file a lot faster, as compared to the universal USB 3.0.
