While most fans of the series "Final Fantasy" is already looking forward to the arrival of the next title, the people in Square Enix seem not ready to let go of "Final Fantasy XIV" yet. With the arrival of the new DLC, "Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward," this June, the developers recently released a new trailer that showcased the amazing and upgraded graphics fans could expect when it comes out.
According to Game Ranx, the new video is set to become the "benchmark trailer" for the upcoming software release for the Windows PC. This software would give players a glimpse of what the expansion pack would look like in PCs if it uses all the specifications listed by the developers.
The clip was a huge upgrade from the game. It highlighted vivid and bright colored visuals as opposed to the dark and grim backdrop the game is known for. One could see the full details of each scene that would allow players to fully enjoy the game and its story.
The upgrade is due to the developers switching from the utilization of the Microsoft DirectX10 to DirectX11, noted PC Gamer.
With the improved graphics, the people in Square Enix were able to include extra flying mounts for a more exciting time when playing on the game's multiplayer mode. The upcoming DLC would also see the arrival of extra maps and parts of the game's world to explore.
A report in Dual Shockers enumerated the new and upgraded places to come with the expansion pack.
- Ishgard has been divided into the upper and lower districts where the nobles from the area are found in the upper district.
- The Dravanian Highlands is where magical beasts and dragons live
- The Dravanian Lowlands
- The Dravanian's Cloud Sea is a place where floating islands are located. This is also known as the actual residence of the dragons in the game
- Cohertas Western Highlands also includes the Falcon's Nest and Camp Riversmeet
- The Amarasia Cloud Sea is another archipelago of floating islands found at the right side of Ishgar
- The Gubra Library
With the arrival of the benchmark software, Square Enix would also release a special limited edition of the PlayStation 4 consoles in Japan, said Anime News Network. Pre-order of the devices would begin on April 28 until supplies last. The limited edition PS4 consoles would come equipped with a version of the "Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward" game. The players could choose from the collector's edition, the regular version as well as the "Final Fantasy XIV Online."
"Final Fantasy XIV: Heavenswar" would be available to PlayStation and PC starting June 23.
