Nicole Eggert, one of the former stars of "Baywatch", has sold her home in Los Angeles to cover her massive debt, reports TMZ.
The site notes that a bankruptcy court judge permitted Eggert to sell her home to be able to pay for her huge loans. According to TMZ's sources, the actress' LA Studio City home was sold for $1.15M, but most of the money will be allocated to pay $805K worth of debt!
Eggert's former home covers more than 9,000 sq.ft. of living space and includes three bedrooms and two bathrooms, describes TMZ.
The site states that two years ago, Eggert filed for bankruptcy and inquired through the court judge if she could make a "fresh start" by putting her own home in the market.
The photos of the house which Eggert originally bought for $835K can be seen on the TMZ website and also here, from published photos of Daily Mail.
Eggert, who portrayed the voluptuous Summer Quinn in the famous soap opera of the 90s, bid goodbye to her home that boasts a spacious living room, kitchen furnished with wood cabinets and ceramic tile floor, and a master suite that has wooden floors, smooth white walls and equipped with ceiling fan, Daily Mail describes. Outside, there is a relaxing swimming pool that will surely be an inviting feature of the L.A. home.
Her 'Baywatch' struggles
It was revealed that Eggert, who became part of "Baywatch" in 1992 when she was only 19 years old, apparently had no clue what she was signing for at that time, reports Huffington Post. She starred in a family-oriented sitcom, "Charles in Charge," and in Eggert's interview on "Oprah: Where Are They Now?" Eggert admitted, "I thought I was going to be doing a high school show, sort of like '90210' meets the beach."
The show's nature and target audience just dawned on her when she saw the sexy "Baywatch" babe, Pamela Anderson on the set. Eggert told Oprah, "I saw myself more as... the tomboy athletic one. And when I saw Pam come out of the trailer, she came out like Barbie! I was like, 'Oh, no. One of us is really on the wrong page.' It was me. I was on the wrong page."
Huffington Post notes that from the interview, the actress felt out of place with her sexier stars in Baywatch so she resorted to breast implants, out of her own free will and not demanded by the producers. Later, she regretted what the show has done to her "reputation," especially being called a "bimbo" and left after Season 2.
"I had worked really hard to have a legit career and I really didn't like the way that 'Baywatch' was taking my reputation," Eggert told Oprah.
Now, Eggert runs an ice-cream truck business and has two daughters, notes Daily Mail. Thus, with all her debts paid, she could continue having a fresh and sweeter start.
