‘Captain America 3: Civil War’ Plot, Cast & Release Date: Daniel Bruhl Confirms Baron Zemo Role; Joins Ranks of Crossbones & Iron Man

“Captain America 3: Civil War” will not only feature heroes battling heroes, but the team will also have to come head-to-head with Crossbones and Baron Zemo.

Actor Daniel Bruhl is confirmed to play the role of Baron Zemo in the next Captain America movie while Frank Grillo is expected to reprise his role as Crossbones. In an interview with the Independent, Bruhl said, “I think I can tell you that without being thrown into Marvel prison.”

He added, “For the first few days, I will walk around like a little boy – just amazed by the megalomania of it. It is such a huge project. We could do 20 films with the budget.”

It would appear that the actor now felt comfortable to spill the beans regarding the Marvel role that he was initially secretive about. It can be remembered that a month ago, when Bruhl was asked the very same question, he was pretty evasive about it.

“I am not supposed to say anything,” he told The Wall Street Journal. “I cannot even talk about the part, really. I would be too afraid to give something away and then I will end up in the Marvel prison and I do not want that.”

“Captain America 3: Civil War” will take up where the “Avengers 2: Age of Ultron” left off, which involves the events following the demise of Ultron, as reported by The Jakarta Post. Governments from different nations have decided to come up with an act in order to regulate all superhuman activity.

This is where a great divide among the Avengers is reportedly created – resulting in an epic battle between Captain America and Iron Man.

Now that Bruhl has confirmed that he is going to be one of the bad guys when “Captain America 3” hits theaters, news about other actors joining the film have now surfaced.

Seasoned actor Ray Sahetapy has just confirmed that he was also called in for a role in the Marvel blockbuster. “Yes, it is true,” he told the Jakarta Post. “I am involved in the movie.” Sahetapy is already in Atlanta to start filming for his scenes.

Furthermore, even Charlie Cox, who plays the titular hero in Netflix’s “Daredevil,” wants to be part of the film. However, since production for the movie has already began, he thinks that the opportunity has already passed.

“I think they are all ready,” he told IGN. “I think I might have missed that boat. So, unless someone watches the show and falls so madly in love with it that they decide to get me in for a day, that would be great. But, I have no idea.”
