It might still be months before viewers could watch the hit suspense anthology, "American Horror Story," on TV, but rumors on what's next for the thrilling series have been circulating. More names have been confirmed for the cast, that is filled with new and returning actors from the previous series.
The recent confirmed name to join the upcoming fifth season of "American Horror Story" is Evan Peters, reported Time. Peters has been with the series since the first season and was present in all the last four, which would make it quite different should he not return in the fifth season.
He has since become a series favorite and fans are already looking forward to which character the 28-year-old actor would portray in "American Horror Story: Hotel."
Series creator Ryan Murphy confirmed his addition to the cast in a tweet. His post said, "This season, Evan Peters will be waiting for you in Room 64. #AHSHotel"
Another confirmed name for the series is Sarah Paulson, said Zap2it. The actress was also part of the last four seasons of the series and while her role in the upcoming season is not yet clear, Murphy revealed that she would be "the baddest bad girl of them all" in the upcoming season.
"American Horror Story: Hotel" would be the first time the show would be Jessica Lange-less. The 66-year-old Academy Award-winner would not return to be part of the show. Speaking to the Palyfest audience, the actress confirmed her departure and said, "We've had a great run here. I have absolutely loved doing these four characters that I've had the opportunity to play... but yes, I'm done."
While Lange would not return to reprise her role, it seems that the producers of the show have found a replacement in Lady Gaga. The Grammy Award-winning singer has been confirmed for the show. However, it has not been revealed if she would take over Lange's part in the series.
Meanwhile, as the title suggests, the upcoming season would be set in a hotel. According to Design & Trend, some rumors point the hotel to be based on a real life building with a controversial past. The site suggested the Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles and Garden of Allah in Hollywood to be the inspirations behind the series.
Speculations have circulated that the season's plot would involve ghosts and spirits and would be connected to the first season ("Murder House") and the third season ("Coven"). However, the network or Murphy has yet to confirm any of these reports.
"American Horror Story: Hotel" would return to television in October 2015.
