‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Plot & Cast: First Look at Jean Grey & Jubilee Revealed!

"X-Men: Apocalypse" will be taking up where last year's "X-Men: Days of Future Past" left off, and earlier reports already confirmed that the film's regulars will be meeting some new young actors in the sequel. As filming already began in Montreal, some set photos of the new cast members were leaked online.

In addition to James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Lucas Till, and Nicholas Hoult, the "X-Men" franchise welcomed Sophie Turner of the "Game of Thrones" for Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan for Cyclops, Lana Condor for Jubilee, and Kodi Smit-McPhee for Nightcrawler.

As seen on the leaked photos, which can be seen on Screen Rant, the stars were all dressed like their characters but with a 1983 vibe. Apart from the time-sensitive costumes, one highly noticeable aspect of the photos was Turner's bright red hair, a trait that clearly depicts her Jean Grey character.

It remains unclear whether the fiery hair was her real hair dyed with a brighter hair color, or if she was wearing a wig. Regardless of the answer, it was noticeable that the bright mane she was sporting is a lot brighter than her usual color, as depicted in "Game of Thrones." It was even seemingly brighter than Famke Jannssen's hair in the original "X-Men" trilogy.

Candor, who was wearing a bright yellow jacket and pink sunglasses, was clearly filming a scene for Jubilee. The colorful outfits are actually iconic for Jubilee.

Sheridan and Smit-McPhee were also featured in the photos. Sheridan was wearing Cyclops's traditional ruby-red glasses, while McPhee stood out from the rest with his blue skin and red jacket which was similar to what Michael Jackson wore in his official music video for "Thriller."

Bryan Singer and writer/producer Simon Kinberg are reportedly pressured with "X-Men: Apocalypse" due to the success of last year's "X-Men: Days of Future Past." Despite the pressure, the filmmakers are confident that the upcoming "X-Men" sequel is going to be the biggest yet.

"It is a big monster of a movie," Singer told Empire Online. "The stakes are so high and global, and the villain is so mythic. It is definitely an 'X-Men' movie, but it really feels different."

Although some of today's biggest stars are going to be featured in the film, Singer reiterated that "X-Men: Apocalypse" will primarily be about the titular villain, who is going to be played by Oscar Isaac, and his secret weapon.
