Since last year rumors have been circulating that Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards tied the knot but now, the rumors have started up again with sources claiming the pair were secretly wed earlier this month.
According to Hollywood Life, a close personal friend of Perrie, 21 -- her best friend Cara Swan -- is said to be dropping major clues via her social media.
In addition to this, Malik, 22, was spotted wearing a ring on his wedding finger during an appearance at the Asian Awards last April 17.
There are many who believe that Perrie, who has been engaged to Malik since August 2013, is the reason for the singer's departure from the wildly popular boy band.
Celebuzz noted that following the announcement of Malik's separation from the group, he and his lady love jetted off to the South of France at the beginning of April.

In a recent report by MTV UK, April has been a busy month for the engaged pair. Based on sources, the boys of 1D, namely Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan, were present for the groom-to-be's bachelor party held April 12.
Giving an even bigger clue as to the supposed nuptials, Cara wrote over her Facebook page on April 17 (same day as the Asian Awards):
"Couldn't have been more proud of my number one girl Perrie Edwards today... congratulations and thanks you for blessing me with my role today [ring emoji] long long endless love for you. P.S You're actually my wife and married to meeeee."
In addition, she followed up the congratulatory message by continuing at a later time:
"You know you went to a good wedding when your hangover finally goes at 10pm the next day."
If the reports are true, congratulations are truly in order. The pair have been through a difficult time following rumors of infidelity on the part of Zayn.
Last month, Malik was at the center of a cheating scandal that supposedly happened while One Direction was touring in Asia. Photos surfaced showing Malik being overly friendly with fellow Brit Lauren Richardson, recalled Mail Online. Soon after another woman, Swede Martina Olsson detailed two moments of passion with Malik while in Thailand.
In a separate report, Hollywood Life published that Perrie gave Zayn an ultimatum, if the singer didn't return home there would be no relationship to return to later on, which prompted Malik's decision to end his time with One Direction.
"Perrie is his security blanket, and he wants her with him keeping him safe," revealed the site's source and added that Zayn wanted to prove he was committed to Perrie by marrying her as soon as possible.
