"Avengers 2: Age of Ultron" is still showing in theaters but fans of the "Avengers" franchise have already started to speculate about what to expect in the next installment - the "Avengers 3: Infinity War - Part 1."
Even the blockbuster's actors have managed to slip out a key detail or two about the upcoming sequel.
“We start ‘Captain America 3: Civil War’ in a couple weeks,” Chris Evans, the actor who plays the role of Captain America, told Esquire.
He added, “And then, that shoots until August or something like that. Then, I have got some downtime and I can do with it as I please, and then we start the ‘Infinity War,’ I think, sometime in the third quarter – fall or winter of 2016. That is going to be, like, nine months to shoot both movies back-to-back.”
The nine-month production that was estimated by Evans does not include the arduous press tours that celebrities have to go through. They have to be in a clear state of mind during these press tours or conferences since the media will be pressing them for answers. He and his co-star, Jeremy Renner, may have even gotten into trouble with Marvel when they said some pretty disparaging things about Black Widow, the character that Scarlett Johansson portrays, according to Digital Trends.
For Evans, the transition from “Captain America 3: Civil War” to “Avengers 3: Infinity War” is expected to be a relatively smooth one. In those two movie projects, he will be reuniting with “Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier,” directors Joe and Anthony Russo.
“Avengers 3: Infinity War” will feature Thanos as the villain. He was previously seen in “Guardians of the Galaxy,” but he will soon be facing off with the Avengers. At the end of “Avengers 2: Age of Ultron,” the mid-credits scene involved the purple-skinned alien with the Infinity Gauntlet – the huge metal-looking glove he was wearing.
At the item’s knuckles, it has seats for each of the Infinity Gems, which are powerful artifacts that can give incredible power to whoever is holding them. The other stones’ whereabouts have already been revealed, while there are still two more that remain unseen – Time and Soul. According to Uproxx, these gems will be showing up in “Doctor Strange” and “Thor 3: Ragnarok.”
The site enumerated the instances where movie watchers saw the gems, First, the Mind gem was seen in “Thor”, right inside Loki’s infamous scepter. If you've watched the most recent Avengers movie, you would know that it is currently the one placed on The Vision’s forehead. Second, the Space stone was shown being utilized by Loki to open a portal. Third, the Reality gem was featured in “Thor 2: The Dark World,” the small, red thing that Thor kept referring to as the Aether. Lastly, the Power stone was seen in “Guardians of the Galaxy.” Remember, Star-Lord was chasing after it?
