Will "Final Fantasy XV" have a PC version? A new report indicates that one is indeed in the works.
A source has just reported that a teaser demo of the 15th installment of the much-anticipated game has hinted that a PC version is currently under development.
The demo, "Witch - Chapter 0," showed off the "art and tech" was unveiled during the Microsoft's Build conference held in San Francisco and is reported to indicate that we may see a PC version in addition to the Xbox and PlayStation 4 versions already confirmed.
"Witch - Chapter 0" which ran on a high-end PC with four Nvidia GTX 980 graphics cards showed off the potential and gameplay for the new title over Microsoft's Windows 10, specifically DirectX 12.
The news comes after an earlier report by Cinema Blend that points to a new job listing as a potential tell of a possible version. Square Enix is believed to have posted an online job listing that reads:
"Online management, game production around billing, management experience and game system design of knowledge · PC games interests, play experience."
Director Hajime Tabata has already confirmed revealed that many changes are coming to the next-generation game given all the fan feedback that they've received. He shared that the games camera, lock-on and overall gameplay feel were some of the areas currently being addressed.
More information about the "Final Fantasy XV" is expected to be revealed during the Gamescon in Germany happening in August, a later event than the earlier expected E3 to be held in June.
"E3 doesn't give us sufficient time to fully prepare to release pertinent information about the game. So I have been discussing with our marketing teams, and we've actually been considering Gamescom in August, instead of E3, as the target for the next major reveal."
The next installment of the franchise, "Final Fantasy XV" is estimated to hit the shelves sometime in 2016. It was shared earlier by Tabata that game development has been steadily progressing and already past the halfway mark and the rest of the process is expected to continue smoothly.
"We're now at 60 percent," said the director and when they hit 80%, the remaining one-fifth of the game should come together in no time."
