‘The Incredibles 2’ Plot & Cast: Mr. Incredible & Elastigirl to Pass on Crime-Fighting Ways to Kids Violet & Dash; Jack-Jack Becomes Rebellious?

"The Incredibles 2" fans will be delighted to know that their favorite animated film will be coming to fruition soon. Director Brad Bird just announced that he has already gotten a head start on writing the script for the franchise's second installment.

Meanwhile, a new report from Christian Today claimed that Bird already finished penning the script and that the movie will start filming later this year. Despite the fact that Bird may be a bit busy promoting his latest movie, "Tomorrowland - A World Beyond," he managed to provide the public with a pretty vague peek at how he plans to tackle the animated sequel's plot.

"I think that the greatest special effects is caring about a character," Bird told Little White Lies. "A lot of movies seem to forget that, and they bring out a lot of fireballs and then wonder why the fireballs do not have that much impact - no matter how loud and how big they are. But, the truth is that the fireball is not that exciting unless you care about the person running from it."

Although Bird was well aware that fans were starting to get antsy because the last time "The Incredibles" concept was on the big screen was over ten years ago, he still wanted to give the public something exciting - instead of merely coming up with a pointless movie just for the sake of making one.

True enough, the speculated plot seems to be a very interesting one. According to the report, Bob and Helen Parr, more famously known as Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl, opted to pass on their crime-fighting ways to their teenage children, Violet and Dash. Meanwhile, Jack-Jack, their youngest child, will start to feel challenged with his superpowers and eventually turn into a rebel within the family.

Samuel L. Jackson will also be returning to the franchise to lend his voice to Lucius Best or Frozone one more time. "Every time I run into Brad, he always tells me Frozone is part of what is going on in the sequel," he told Cross Map. "So, I have to believe that. I guess they could be The Incredibles without Frozone, but I think Frozone would be a wonderful addition to what is already there."

Jackson also dropped some hints about what the franchise's fans can expect from Jack-Jack in "The Incredibles 2." "I am looking forward to what Jack-Jack turned into," he said. In the first movie, Jack-Jack was merely a cute, adorable infant. It is believed that he is now already 11 or 12 years old.
