"Magic Mike XXL" just dropped another trailer on social media, and it was exactly what its fans anticipated. Thankfully for those who have been waiting for the sequel for a relatively long time now, considering that the first one was released in 2012, the sequel to the hit raunchy comedy will be premiering in theaters on July 1.
In this upcoming movie, Mike, played by Channing Tatum, along with the other hunks of the franchise, will be taking one last ride. Hollywood Life noted that the gang might decide to hang up their hot pants for good after their latest adventure.
According to the recently released teaser, "We are going to see if he has still got some magic in that Mike." Although the short video clip did not have much revealing content, it was filled with images of the film's handsome stars - all of them shirtless.
Furthermore, in honor of what Entertainment Weekly referred to as a fake national holiday, "Magic Mike XXL" also released a Star Wars-themed poster before tweeting about the film's new teaser. The poster said, "May the fourth be with you. They have got all the force you need."
The teaser clip, which showed Tatum and his entourage moving to the tune of Ginuwine's "Pony," was a reminder to fans that the upcoming film's official trailer will be out on Wednesday, as reported by Daily Mail.
"We have an XXL surprise for you this #Humpday - the full #MagicMikeXXL trailer!" read the Twitter post. "Enjoy this little treat from the boys."
Although the film's lead actor is Tatum, it also features other hunky actors such as Matt Bomer, Adam Rodriguez, Kevin Nash, Stephen Boss, and Joe Manganiello. They were wearing what looked like boxing robes - opened right at the middle - showing off their perfectly chiseled abs. Sadly, a shirtless Donald Glover was not among the stars who made an appearance in the film's new teaser.
As fans of the franchise may already know, the cast of "Magic Mike XXL" will be going on a road trip to Myrtle Beach in Tampa so they can take part in a stripping convention. "If this is really our last ride, we need to make up some new routines," said Tatum as Mike, sounding a little bit discouraged.
It appears that this particular convention just might be the last time for the boys to strip. That said, fans might be able to witness the gang giving the best stripping performance of their lives.
