Ever since Square Enix announced that "Final Fantasy 15" is arriving to consoles, fans have been looking forward to what's next for the popular game. Now it seems that an amazing gameplay awaits the players as rumors circulated that the developers are looking to use 8K graphics for an improved visual experience.
The developers in Square Enix are determined to give the players of "Final Fantasy 15" the best version of the game when it comes out. Their hard work is evident in the recent gameplay demo version released, as fans noticed a huge improvement in the visuals and how the characters move.
While the demo video is already great, Square Enix is set to put it up a notch higher with the use of the visual technology, Luminous Studio. This new graphics system is said to show an 8K by 8K resolution that utilizes "63 million polygons per scene" that would bring out the image alive and make it look very realistic.
According to Venture Capital Post, the new technology would run on DirectX 12 for Windows. This is the latest version of the kind which recently debuted on the Microsoft Build Conference that happened in the last week of April.
Square Enix presented another demo video of an earlier version of the "FF15," which utilized this technology during the said conference. The demo clip was called the "Witch Chapter 0 [Cry]."
According to KPop Starz, "FF15" Director Hajime Tabata was the one who introduced the video. He said, "As a part of the technical development, we created this demo using world-class, real-time CG technology with generous support from leading edge software and hardware providers - Microsoft's Windows 10/ DirectX 12 and Nvidia's GeForce GTX."
Meanwhile, with the new development and technology, Square Enix decided to defer the launch of the game at a later time, said Master Herald.
The game was initially scheduled for an official unveiling at the E3 conference scheduled for June in Los Angeles. However, the adaptation of the new technology pushed the developers to decide to launch it in August at the Gamescon event.
Tabata admitted that a June launch does not give him and the team enough time to full "prepare and release" the highly anticipated game.
However, the development company would still be in attendance at the E3 conference as it prepares to launch other titles.
