‘Suicide Squad’ Cast & Spoilers: Set Video Footage Surfaced! Midway City Set a Hint for Hawkman in the Future?

"Suicide Squad" just dropped an official look for the film's lead villains sans Jared Leto as The Joker. The Internet is now abuzz once more due to a behind-the-scenes footage revealed recently. The information that the DC blockbuster is filming in Toronto may be no secret but Entertainment City managed to unveil a huge detail that DC might have wanted to keep under wraps.

According to BT Toronto, when Entertainment City gained access to the set of "Suicide Squad," they managed to get their hands of a special footage showed rumored to be part of the film which will take place in Midway City - the city that is best known as the home of yet another DC character, Hawkman. This piece of information was obtained when a cop car was spotted - one that said "Midway City Police" on its side, as reported by Cinema Blend.

"Suicide Squad" stars Will Smith from "The Pursuit of Happyness" as Deadshot, Joel Kinnaman from "RoboCop" as Rick Flagg, Margot Robbie from "The Wolf of Wall Street" as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney from "Divergent" as Captain Boomerang, and Cara Delevingne from "Anna Karenina" as Enchantress.

In addition, the film will feature Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Adam Beach as Slipknot, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo, Karen Fukuhara as Katana, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc. Of course, Leto will play the role of the infamous Joker.

Scott Eastwood, Alex Meraz, Ike Barinholtz, Common, Jim Parrack, and Raymond Olubowale are also going to be part of the "Suicide Squad" cast but their roles remain unknown to date, according to Coming Soon. It might be possible that one of these actors have been cast to portray the role of Hawkman.

Hawkman's Silver Age version was actually an alien that came from Thanagar. He arrived in Midway City with Hawkgirl as they were trying to capture an escaped criminal. The duo eventually decided to stick around on Earth, later adapting to new identities as Shiera Hall and Carter. They have even decided to work with the Midway City Police, so they can help in thwarting criminals.

Although Midway City is famous as the home of Hawkgirl and Hawkman, it must be noted that it is also where Doom Patrol lives.

Andy Horwitz, the co-producer of "Suicide Squad," possibly alluded to Hawkman's involvement in the film. He mentioned that a huge portion of the movie was going to take place "within the city" with the Squad "touching down in the city and making their way to where they need to go."
