Southern cuisine guru Paula Deen is looking to unload her Savannah, Ga. home for $12.5 million.
Based on an exclusive report by E! News, the residence, dubbed as a "private resort," is pretty impressive.
The price tag is more than justified as the 68-year-old's property sprawls across 5.5 acres within a gated community, in addition to a 14,500 square foot home designed with a French Caribbean style, there is also two guest cottages, a dock house and a barn.
Don't be fooled, every part of the home is pure luxury, including the barn. It's a 10,000 square foot building that has three bedrooms and can take in eight cars in its garage.
Other features of the estate includes a private pool with dive-in movie theater but most of all, given Paula's knack for cooking and entertaining, the outdoor kitchen is every cook or chef's dream. There are three grills, a smoker, an electric oven , not one but four refrigerators, an ice maker and a sink, perfect for all those night-time, outdoor shindigs.
According to StarPulse, Deen is selling the property because she's got so many projects, Paula no longer has time to enjoy all that the estate has to offer. Currently, Deen is involved in restaurant management, a digital network and a mobile game.
Deen has been entangled in controversies over the past few years but Inquisitr noted that the celebrity has bounced back. After losing 35 pounds, the well-known celebrity chef spoke about how she managed to trim the weight and keep it off.
In order to achieve her goal, Deen shares that she's had to make a lot of sacrifices. Speaking to Dr. Oz, she revealed:
"I went home to my kitchen and I threw out everything that was white: White bread, white rice, white potatoes, white pasta. I did that for four months, y'all! Just four months. My son Bobby introduced me to yogurt. It's got that same richness and consistency that you get from mayonnaise. But a lot, lot better for you. You can switch it out with yogurt, anything that calls for that kind of creaminess."
While she may be letting this property go, E! News reports that Paula is keen on finding something in New York. "She has been looking at incredible apartments in New York City to purchase as a second home," shared an insider.
