The upcoming DC film "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is known to feature a superhero face off but according to a new report, we could see another Superman foe joining the mix.
Umberto Gonzalez, a journalist, has recently revealed over the Shanlian on Batman podcast (via Huffington Post) that the villain Doomsday will be appearing in the movie.
The same news was shared over Instagram where a photo of the character was posted with the following caption:
THE QUESTION YOU HAVE BEEN ASKING IS FINALLY ANSWERED! WILL WE SEE #DOOMSDAY IN #BatmanvSupermanDawnofJustice?

The rumored of the appearance isn't new but more details have been revealed by Gonzalez. Per ComicBookResources, "Tipster El Mayimbe, aka Umberto Gonzalez of Heroic Hollywood, dropped by the Shanilan on Batman podcast to dish the scoop, claiming that while Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor will serve as the film's main heavy, the Kryptonian killing machine will be his muscle, giving Supes a physical threat beyond mere mortal adversaries like Luthor or even Ben Affleck's Batman. El Mayimbe looked to the original "Star Wars" to explain the villainous dynamic, likening the relationship between Luthor and Doomsday to Grand Moff Tarkin and Darth Vader, with one serving as brain and the other as brawn."
The appearance of Doomsday has generated a lot of interest among fans because of how important he is in the death of Superman. Doomsday is the result of an alien scientist who was attempting to create the perfect weapon, noted CinemaBlend. Following the Death of Superman storyline, the powerful creature killed Superman but was also killed in the process at the hands of two aliens.
"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will arrive in theaters on March 25, 2016. The latest Superman flick will act as the springboard to the Justice League films. Henry Cavill stars as Superman and Ben Affleck will make his debut as Batman.
