An Apple website product update has hinted at a possible new MacBook and iMac launch, possibly on Wednesday. The Cupertino-based tech giant has discontinued a number of 15-inch MacBook Pro models which is typically indicative of two things. First, it is possible there is an issue with products or that new items are on the way.
French Apple Blog Mac Generation (via BGR News) has reported that the Tim Cook-led firm will be introducing a new 15-inch MacBook Pro as well as a 27-inch iMac on Wednesday. It's expected that the next-gen devices will be sporting a Force Touch trackpad, a new feature which was introduced back in March through the13-inch model.
Force Touch is also featured in the newly unveiled Apple Watch as it makes use of tactile feedback that measures based on pressure, published TechRadar.
Over the past few days, it was shared that the shipping times for the 15-inch MacBook Pro has been slowly slipping which may believe is happening because of the upcoming WWDC.
While no additional details regarding specs have been revealed, it's expected that updated MacBook Pro will come with Intel's Broadwell processors that will offer better battery life and performance. It was not mentioned in the report whether the refersh will be applicable to the 5K iMac or be limited to the non-Retina models.
There is also speculation that this year's iPhone models -- dubbed as the iPhone 6S or iPhone 7 -- will be equiped with the same Force Touch technology found in other products.
The rumors remain unconfirmed, fans will have to wait until Wednesday to see if there is any truth to the reports.
