'Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2' Trailer & Release Date: Spinoff in the Works? J.Law Pushing for Another Installment [Rumors]

If it were up to Oscar winning actress Jennifer Lawrence, there would be more Hunger Games films. As the epic conclusion to the four-film franchise arrives later this year, the 25-year-old beauty says given the chance, she would like to jump on board for a follow-up, fifth "Hunger Games" film.

In a conversation with Eddie Redmayne for Interview Magazine earlier this year, The "Jupiter Ascending" star asked about the status of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" and Jennifer confirmed that filming only had one shoot left for its ending, she lets it spill that she's not happy about the franchise ending.

When Redmayne suggested the possibility or writing more stories, Lawrence replied, "I know, right? I would totally do it. And now Liam [Hemsworth]'s doing a movie in Australia for two months. It's the longest that the three of us have ever spent apart. "

Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, who plays Katniss' bestfriend Gale, is in fact the actress' real-life best friend. As reported earlier, J.Law helped Hemsworth move on from his failed engagement with pop superstar and controversial celebrity, Miley Cyrus.

The co-stars have been romantically linked in the past but both have been quick to deny all romance rumors. Some of Lawrence's high-profile boyfriends include X-Men co-star Nicholas Hoult and Coldplay front man Chris Martin.

The 24-year-old Hollywood A Lister has previously said (via Venture Capital Post) she's happy with the way that her character and Hemsworth's character have developed over the films, which will be a focus of the upcoming "Mockingjay Part 2" film.

"I loved that. Katniss and Gale have such a rich history, which we've never been able to fully, fully explore to the extent we do in this film. Up until now it always more about Katniss and Peeta. But there are so many complexities to Katniss and Gale and that relationship because before Katniss went into the Games, Gale was the only person who really understood her and knew her because they grew up together."

While the content of a possible story continuation hasn't been confirmed, Lionsgate has revealed that they may be coming in the future.

Lionsgate head Jon Feltheimer has remarked before that the company is "actively looking at some development and thinking about prequel and sequel possibilities," reported Deadline.

"Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2" is set to release in theaters November 20 of this year.

Stay tuned for more.
