Frank Sinatra's Desert Palm Desert Oasis Enters the Market Again for $ 3.95 Million

The property formerly owned by Frank Sinatra is for sale again for a whopping $3.95 million. According to a report from la.curbed.com, the famous singer personally oversaw the construction of the property known as Villa Maggio located in Palm Desert, California. The compound was said to have been constructed specifically for the Rat Pack, Sinatra's inner circle, and other celebrities.

Sitting on five acres, Villa Maggio features a lighted spa and pool area, tennis courts and a car park area for an astounding 24 vehicles. There is also a helipad to go along with it. The property boasts an exterior made of native stone and shingles, while its interior exudes a country lodge ambiance with its beamed ceiling, hardwood floors and five stone fireplaces strategically located throughout the mansion.

One of the peculiar features of the home is its "doomsday-prepped" two-story guest house that has three bedrooms and "its own generator, water tower and water well." Overall, Sinatra's former house occupies over seven acres, including the two guest homes on the property, the pool and the aforementioned helipad.

According to a report from zillow.com, the name Villa Maggio was taken from the character that Sinatra played in "From Here to Eternity," which was Private Angelo Maggio. Sinatra owned Villa Maggio for 12 years until he donated it to Loyola Marymount University, which then sold it for $1.4 million in 1989. There have been three owners since Sinatra donated the property, and the current one is a celebrity as well.

Villa Maggio was Initially listed at $4.8 million. The property has since been discounted to the current price of $3.95 million.
