Marvel has recently unveiled another poster for its upcoming film, "Ant-Man," via its Twitter page. The superhero Ant-Man will be played by Paul Rudd, and the new poster shows him in full costume.
The poster shows Ant-Man sitting on a flying ant while dodging bullets. Rudd is in red and silver costume, as can be seen in firstshowing.net. The poster hints at an action-packed scene that fans can expect from the film.
According to a report from eonline.com and the Marvel website, Rudd plays the character of Scott Lang, an out-of-luck ex-convict who assumes the identity of Ant-Man who can shrink but become stronger at the same time. The superhero's costume is designed by his mentor, Hank Pym, played by Michael Douglas. The first trailer of the film was unveiled last month, which features Ant-Man fighting the evil Yellow Jacket, Darren Cross, played by Corey Stoll.
Rudd was recently interviewed by E Online in the 2015 Cinemacon, where he shared that "Ant-Man" is his first movie that his children would be able to watch.
"I hope (they'll like it.) It think they will. My kids have never seen any movie that I've ever done and they can watch this one and I'm a little, just, as a parent, weirded out at that thought," he said.
He added that his kids are excited about the film, especially his 10-year-old son, which according to him is a "nice feeling as a dad."
"Ant-Man" is directed by Peyton Reed, who also helmed "Yes Man," which starred Jim Carrey. "Ant-Man" is written by Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish. Adam McKay, Gabriel Ferrari and Andrew Barrer rewrote it. Other cast members include Evangeline Lilly, John Slattery and Judy Greer. The film is slated for release on July 17 in the U.S.
