Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Net Worth: Couple Sells French Quarter Mansion for $6.5 Million

There is a breakup brewing in the 'Brangelina' camp - of course, not Brad and Angelina. The couple is reportedly letting go of their current prime location home on Governor Nicholls Street; the French Quarter mansion that has even become part of the fan tour circuit, Crescent-news.com reports.

According to Zillow.com, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have listed the property for $6.5 million but are not looking to get out of the Big Easy and are just on for "something off the beaten path down the road', Pitt's rep tells US Weekly. "They remain committed to, and infatuated as ever with the city of New Orleans," the rep said, "and will continue to focus on growth in the lower 9th through the Make It Right Foundation."

The couple bought the New Orleans 1830's Mansion for $3.5 million back in 2006 while Pitt was filming "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button". Some of the features of the powerhouse couple's estate include 5 bedrooms, 5 baths, and all signs of grandness: Venetian plastered walls, marble mantles and fireplaces, crown moldings, a grand spiral staircase, and -- for a touch of modernity - an elevator, Zillow.com enumerates. It also has a gourmet chef's kitchen, a full laundry room, and a separate two-story guest house, Crescent-news.com mentions.

Unfortunately though, according to the US Weekly article, there are no available interior photos of the mansion but the 7,645-square-foot property is said to be "finely finished with Venetian plaster walls [and] custom-designed marble mantels and fireplaces", Variety tells.

A significant event - for the Super Bowl and Brad Pitt fanatics at least -- involving said mansion took place back in May 2014, when Pitt and fellow Hollywood Hunk Matthew McConaughey discovered they were living right next to each other and tossed each other beers from their balconies during the Super Bowl XL VIII, the US Weekly report cites.
