The smash book series Games of Thrones 6th novel, coined The Winds of Winter, is projected to have its much anticipated release by next year, according to online game authority, IGN. The report stated that the book's author, George R.R. Martin, is looking to wrap up the next installment before Season 6 hits the airwaves. To stay committed, the blockbuster author has cancelled all his media appearances including the San Diego Comic Con, in which he is a regular figure.
In an interview by an online magazine, Martin confirmed that he is in fact cancelling two major event appearances, including the San Diego Comic Con, and huge amounts of interviews, to make way to his recent project.
On related news, IGN also reported that at this point, the search is on for the newest cast of the upcoming Games of Thrones Season 6.
First of the characters that producers are planning to add would be the Pirate, who is infamous for terrorizing the seas all around the world. The character is seen to be cunning, ruthless, and mad. Next is the Father, a great soldier of Westeros. Father would be humorless, intimidating, and severe. Additionally, they plan to add a Mother who is projected to be soft, plump, sweet, and adoring, a total opposite of the father. Fierce Warrior comes next, a tall, powerful, and mean-looking man with a little bit touch of ethnicity, probably around 30ish or 40ish. A Priestess might be in the mix in the upcoming season - someone who is beautiful, intense, and magnetic. Lastly, they'll add in a Leading Actress - an elegant, fun, charismatic, rum-drinking woman.
At this point, both the book and the TV series don't have exact dates of release yet.
