"No Tron 3", Wilde Confirms

A third instalment of the sci-fi series Tron is definitely not happening.

In a tweet by Olivia Wilde, who played Quorra in the movie, she implicitly verified the sad news that she will not be wearing the tight-fit Tron uniform that made her the patent character of the show.

"Tron fans! Don't trip. Now I don't have to live on seaweed juice and tofu dust for 6 months to fit into a rubber suit".

Quorra was a computer algorithm that turned out to be a hot and hard-hitting femme fatale. She instantly became one of the prominent and signature characters of Tron in 2010 that had helped the film gain more fans.

Tron is a science fiction film about the adventures of humans inside the cyberworld of computers known as the Grid. The first series was released in 1982 with Jeff Bridges as Kevin Flyn, who disappeared and was trapped in the computer. While initially unsuccessful, it nevertheless reaped a cult following in later years. The sequel Tron: Legacy was released in 2010, which become one of the highest grossing films of the year. Flyn's son, Sam embarks on a journey to find his father, who has been trapped in a cyberworld. He is accompanied by Quorra.

In 2010, Tron producer Steven Lisberger had announced beforehand that a sequel was in the pipeline prior the film's release. This is why people have been anticipating and expecting that a Tron 3 is in the making. However, According to Hollywood Reporter, the project has never been officially given the greenlight in the first place regardless of the prepwork that had already started.

In a last attempt of making the movie happen, IGN reports that 18,000 Tron fans and counting are in the move of gathering petition signatures to convince Walt Disney and others concerned to revive the film.
