Hogwarts says hello to Hollywood!
It is official. According to eonline, the countdown for all Potterheads finally begins as Universal Studios Hollywood finally announced that they will be having their very own "Wizarding World of Harry Potter" theme park in Spring 2016.
Larry Kurzweil, President of Universal Studios Hollywood, said, "Harry Potter is an exhilarating multi-generational global phenomenon that has captivated the world's attention across every one of its mediums, from books and movies to exhilarating theme park adventures. With its imminent arrival to The Entertainment Capital of L.A., Universal Studios Hollywood is thrilled to bring our guests a new, compelling experience of 'The Wizarding World of Harry Potter' as we embark on this next chapter in our storied history."
The upcoming theme park is inspired by British author J.K. Rowling's well-loved stories and characters. The new area of the park will bring its guests the same authenticity and storytelling like that of Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Japan, says comingsoon.net.
As a matter of fact, the moment muggles step inside the gates of Hollywood's most anticipated signature attraction, they will be immersed in a theme land that brings the films and fictions into life with spotless detail and precision.
Like its existing counterparts, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Hollywood will have Hogwarts Castle as its iconic focal point where its signature land ride "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey" will take visitors into different unforgettable scenes, together with the Famous Trio. The park will also have its first outdoor roller coaster ride with "Flight of the Hippogriff."
Once guests have exhausted themselves from trying these thrill-seeking rides, they can sit back and relax while chowing on mouth-watering food and beverages at multiple locations such as The Three Broomsticks and Hog's Head Pub. There are even carts that will sell "butterbeer" to passersby.
But that's not it -- Hollywood's most awaited theme park is determined to resonate J.K. Rowling's magical world with immense detail by allowing guests to authentic retail shops and locations like Honeydukes, Ollivanders, Zonko's Joke Shop, and many more!
