Kobe Bryant Net Worth: The NBA Player Finally Sells House After Fourth Price Drop

Finally, Kobe Bryant's "United States of Generica" house is off the market, according to a report from sg.sports.yahoo.com. Located in Newport Beach, CA, the home was recently sold at $6,116,500.

The said sale price is reportedly much lower than the house's last discounted price that was offered in the market. Bryant's house had the original asking price of $8,599,000. Though the house price has been slashed four times, the mansion is reportedly still the highest-paid property in the Newport Coast area, according to a report from LATimes.com. The previous highest-paid record was reportedly $4.78 million. Consequently, the drop in the house price may not have a huge effect on the NBA player, which has a reported net worth of $260 million, according to celebritynetworth.com.

It took a total of two years for the house to be finally sold. This is despite the house having notable amenities such as a swimming pool, ocean vista views, shark tank/office area, movie theater and a salon, as reported by khq.com. The floors of the house are made of walnut and features interiors made up of limestone with stone pillars encased with detailed molding. There is also two stories of living areas that provide unobstructed, 180-degree views of the city and the ocean. The home boasts four bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms.

The house was originally constructed in 1997. A report from lakeshowlife.com states that throughout Bryant's 14-year ownership of the property, there have been massive renovations undertaken, which include the building of a 850-foot gymnasium and a home theater.

According to Multiple Listing Service, the listing agent for the property was Jordan Cohen of Re/Max Olson & Associates. Marcy Weinstein and Rex McKown of Surterre Properties represented the purchaser of the property.
