23rd street building upward expansion?

28-46 West 23^rd Street is being considered to add floors to the top of the Midtown South office building by the landlords, according to the report from New York Observer.

The building is located between Fifth and Sixth avenues. The owners of the buildings almost agreed to take advantage of the unclaimed air rights as the building lies in the submarket, where few commercial owners are there.

Since the building has been landmarked, this plan is in progress to be approved. It mainly contains adding space and tidy top floors. "We would be redeveloping the top of the building to make something very special" said by Colliers International Presidents Michael Cohen.
