Taylor Swift's much publicized failed relationships have been center of talks and controversy - and the center of her hit albums - that she may consider taking a break from the dating scene. The 25-year-old Grammy winner singer, however, is currently brewing some new love with British DJ Calvin Harris and they seem to be getting along quite well. But how did the two know each other and eventually ended up together? Their celebrity matchmaker revealed!
Ellie Goulding, the Love Me Like You Do singer, told The Sun on why she passionately felt like the two would get along: "I did play matchmaker, that's true. Calvin is a really great mate and he's so fantastic, and Taylor is such a cool person who I love." "I thought, 'They're both really awesome and both really tall, they'll brilliant together'." Trivia: Taylor stands at 5'10" or 1.78 meters, while Calvin at 6'5" or 1.96 meters.
The Shake It Off singer was earlier seen hanging out with the DJ in one of his Las Vegas gigs and that was when rumors about the two started brewing, news.com.au reports. Ellie was on this trip too, which kinds of connects the whole story together. But Swift isn't new with letting a friend play matchmaker for her search-for-love; Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin were apparently the ones who set her up with Jake Gyllenhaal before, according to a Yahoo Celebrity report. But we all know what happened with that... we could just hope this new one takes a different path.
What were then speculations became concrete news after the two hit it off at the backstage of the 2015 Brit Awards in February and were even seen holding hands exiting the after party, says the Hollywood Life scoop.
So far, the pair is looking to be just getting stronger with Harris even visiting Taylor's hometown of Nashville. They have also been spotted more and more on dates and just seem to be really enjoying each other's company.
