‘Game of Thrones’ Season 5 Spoilers: Jon Snow Dead? Kit Harington Hints the Character’s Fate, Says He’s Going to ‘Disappear’

The end is coming soon for "Game of Thrones" Season 5, and various speculations have come up regarding the plot of the show's remaining two episodes, including the fate of Jon Snow. In a recent interview, Kit Harington, who plays the well-loved character, may have just hinted what will happen to him in Season 5.

According to Huffington Post, who interviewed Harington on Tuesday, the actor mentioned that he was looking forward to taking a break soon. "I'm disappearing off the face of earth after publicity for ['Testament of Youth'], which will be really nice." The publication reportedly tried to clarify if such break would be taken before he shoots again for "Game of Thrones," to which the actor mysteriously replied, "If I start filming 'Thrones. I can't tell you if I do," reportedly emphasizing on the "if" part.

Harington has also supposedly warned fans in an AOL Build interview on Monday that Jon Snow's fate is yet to be determined. "You can't count on Jon Snow being safe, or Tyrion being safe, or anyone being safe," he said. Of course, fans can actually understand why Harington would say this, since "Game of Thrones" is notoriously popular for killing off its characters, including major ones and fan favorites. But is Jon Snow really set to face his death in Season 5? [Spoilers Alert!]

Readers of George R.R. Martin's book, on which the TV series is based, won't be surprised if Jon Snow dies in the show's current season. This is because in the book "A Dance with Dragons," Jon Snow is murdered by his own men before he even sets out to Hardhome, which was featured in the show's last episode. In the book, Jon is repeatedly stabbed by a brother of the Night's Watch because of their refusal to unite with the wildlings. It was even speculated before that in the show, Olly might be the one to kill Jon, since he was the one strongly opposed to the idea of making peace with the Free Folk.

Seeing that Jon Snow did not actually die in last week's "Hardhome" episode and even emerged as a hero there with awesome battle scenes, it may reportedly be possible that Jon will get to survive in the show. In fact, Harington was included in the cast members who were said to have signed for Seasons 6 and 7 of "Game of Thrones," as stated by The Hollywood Reporter.

Still, fans may never know what "Game of Thrones" Season 5 Episode 9 and the finale have in store, so it's best to sit tight and wait as the show unfolds its last two episodes.
