Apple's most awaited annual developer's conference - WWDC - has finally kicked off today at San Francisco's Moscone West Centre. What is certain now is that this year's WWDC will focus on the system upgrades, new products and features. Apple is rumored to launch new music streaming services, an improved iOS 9, and its new operating system, the OSX Mojave. All these and more have sparked excitements among global developers and avid fans of Apple.
According to Yahoo, Apple will be a game changer in the music streaming industry after it was reported that it has been working with a $10-a-month new music streaming service, in a bid to inspire competition against Spotify and Pandora. A similar report from Telegraph says that Apple is planning to introduce the rumored music streaming service after it acquired Beats Music last year. The same report added that existing Beats Music account holders could use their log-in credentials via iTunes or Apple ID accounts, respectively.
Fans of iPhones are also expecting a security upgrade of its operating system in the coming of iOS 9. Aside from the usual updates, Yahoo reported that the soon-to-be announced upgrade will be more stable and with a new security feature called "Rootless." Business Insider said that with such feature, iPhones could no longer be jail-broken.
Developers are also expecting that Apple will release an upgrade to OSX, which Gizmodo reports said will have a control center similar to iOS, improved security features and some enhancements. Although Apple ensures not to reveal updates ahead of WWDC, a Yahoo report states that the upgrade will be code named "Mojave."
Next on the list is the rumored expansion of the "Apple Pay," which Telegraph said Apple will likely announce at the WWDC. The paperless and contactless payment system will reportedly be available in selected areas in Europe and Canada. According to the same website, there had been negotiations between UK-based financial companies and Apple on the implementation of Apple Pay.
Finally, the strongest rumor that has been circulating recently ahead of this year's WWDC is the Apple's new fourth-generation TV. The said Apple TV, according to Yahoo, will offer a live local television and will include the sports rights, making new offerings since it was launched last 2013. However, Telegraph reported that Apple mulls to launch an online TV streaming service via an online subscription for only $30.
Again, all of these remain to be rumors until Apple takes the floor at the WWDC and make the big announcements.
