HTC One M9 Review, Specs: Photo of 24K Gold Edition Leaked

Taiwan-based mobile company HTC has launched its 24K Gold Edition of HTC One M9. The product was announced via Twitter coinciding the last day of the Champion League and UCL Final on June 6.

"Introducing our 24 ct. GOLD limited edition #HTCOneM9 to celebrate the end of the ChampionsLeague season & #UCLFinal," the HTC Twitter post read.

The HTC One M9 Gold Edition, according to a report from Ausdroid, is the official smartphone of the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League. The HTC smartphone was described as "loud" and totally a "stand out" when it comes to its sleek and shiny aesthetic appearance.

The HTC One M9 Gold Edition brags its full-HD display with a 5-inch Super LCD3 that comes with a 1920x1080p resolution. The sleek smartphone is powered by a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 MSM8994 64-bit Octa-core processor and has a 3GB RAM, as Gizbot reported.

Citing from the same website, the HTC classy smartphone comes with a 32 GB storage capacity with a micro SD card slot that can accommodate up to 128GB. It also brags a 20MP rear camera made of BSI and sapphire glass lens. It has a 4MP Ultrapixel front camera that comes with a super-wide angle lens.

The new HTC smartphone supports RAW capability that was added last month to compete with LG's flagship phone, the LG G4, which has the same feature.

On Sunday, Petapixel reported that when one of three photos of HTC One M9 Gold Edition was uploaded in HTC's Twitter account, it generated mixed comments from netizens after they found out that the photo was taken accidentally with an iPhone. HTC apparently took down the said photo and replaced it with another photo, but users who have "hawk-eye" were able to grab the photo, which resulted in it going viral.

With all its high-end specifications, the HTC One M9 smartphone is set to compete with other Android-based phones when it comes to style, build and image quality, and high-speed performance.
