Diplo, DJ and producer, is not convinced that Selena Gomez and Zedd are really dating. Diplo was recently interviewed in Radio.com about his harsh comment on Twitter about Zedd's new album, "True Colors," and besides bashing the album, the DJ also apparently said that Zedd and Gomez's relationship is just for show and to promote Zedd's new album.
"I'm actually not enemies with Zedd by any means. I just think that he came from such a cool place, and now he's been pegged as a money-maker for a major label to do EDM, which to me isn't even a genre. But they've pegged him for that, they've marketed him, even the fake relationship with Selena Gomez, all the things to sell records took away from the music," Diplo claimed.
Several sources cited by E! News also mentioned that Gomez and Zedd are only good friends making music together. On the contrary, their Instragram accounts have intimate pictures of them together that led to people concluding that they are dating.
According to Latinos Post, the two were first spotted hanging out together last January at the Golden Globes. They also reportedly did a studio collaboration on the song "I Want You to Know." Selena also posted a picture of her hugging Zedd last February on her Instagram account, which apparently started the dating rumors. She also reportedly called him "very cute and funny."
In April, a separate report from the news outlet stated that the couple's rumored romance died. However, in spite of the "break-up," Zedd confirmed that he and Gomez collaborated on more songs together. He also mentioned that he loved Gomez' voice.
