'Heroes Of The Storm' Release Date & Gameplay: Title Gets New Skins, Heroes And Maps

Blizzard on Monday has announced that its war-themed game "Heroes of the Storm" will have new skins, maps and heroes, which were reportedly themed around "Diablo III," a report from IGN revealed.

IGN said that a new character, the Butcher from "Diablo III," will be introduced as a melee assassin in Blizzard's "Heroes of The Storm." The Battlefield of Eternity map will be part of the full gaming features that will be available on June 23 and a full release slated on June 30 this year. According to IGN, Butcher has a passive trait branded as "Fresh Meat," which causes minions and heroes to drop one and three meats, respectively. Picking those meats reportedly increases the damage by 1 percent per stack and players will be able to hold 25 at a time.

A similar report from Cinemablend said that the Butcher is quite similar to Pudge, a character from "Dota 2," and added that the Butcher's skills are devastating as he can get life from his opponents and add it to his own. The Butcher can throw down a hitching post and attach it to a certain close opponent and chain him up to four seconds.

The Battlefield of Eternity map, according to IGN, will have two outside lanes with a large central combat area. With this, two Immortals will duel to the death while the teams try to defeat their opponents to defend their teams.

The Mercenary camp has been given a skin similar to that of Diablo's lick of paint with Siege Colems apparently replaced by three Khazra. A Shaman and two dogs are featured in the Bruiser Camp as both gaming characters can be resummoned to crush down towers in the game.

Citing from the same website, Blizzard also confirmed that a new "Diablo" map is being developed. However, the company earlier revealed that there is no plan to move maps out of rotation for a time.

The new maps will allow the players to advance across the map using the various pathways in the game. Players will fight the creatures by destroying the opponent's towers and advancing in the battlefront. Since "Heroes of the Storm" is a team-based competitive game, players will be able to use unique abilities that can be used in a team to attack and destroy the opponent's lair. Blizzard also aims to add new character heroes from time to time.

"Heroes of the Storm" was recently released on June 2.
