"South Park" co-creator Trey Parker quietly sold his Brentwood home located near the Getty Center in downtown LA. According to a report from variety.com, the said home was priced $4.8 million.
Parker had purchased the home in August of 2005 and had resided there with his then wife Emma Sugiyama. The original structure of the estate was demolished upon orders of Parker, who then constructed a much larger home to replace the circa 1920's structure.
The home amenities include a swimming pool, terraced gardens and a few other utilitarian structures. The original structure was thoroughly razed, leaving holes on the ground where the foundations are located. The home remained in the market for just three weeks until a deep-pocketed buyer purchased the home at $205,000, which was above the listed price.
Parker's net worth is said to be $350 million, according to a report on celebritynetworth.com. This Brentwood estate is not his only home, as he had purchased another home of Spanish colonial design in the same neighborhood in 2013. The home has seven bedrooms and 11.5 bedrooms and measures around 9,747 square feet. There is an additional 992 square feet for a guest house near the pool with two rooms.
The home, according to another report by variety.com, was designed by Thomas Callaway and was built for music executive Richard Foos, the former head of Rhino Records. Prior to the purchase of Parker, the home was lived in by Lucien Grange, the chairman of Universal Music.
Parker's new property features a double height foyer/staircase and a ringed second floor gallery. There are formal living and dining rooms, an impressive office adjoining a library as well as a media/music hall. The kitchen has a center island with field stone back splashes, a breakfast nook with French doors. On the second floor, there is a large den and a master suite with its own fireplace, sitting area, a sky-lit bathroom and a veranda overlooking the Santa Monica mountains.
