Elton John Lashes Out On Steward During Kingsholm Concert [Video]

What do you get from following orders? An embarrassing expletive-filled tirade too awful it will make you cry. A female steward in Elton John's recent show in Gloucester at The Kingsholm Stadium, Sunday, reportedly incurred the Candle In The Wind singer's wrath after trying to make a section of the audience stop from waving their arms in the air, Time reports.

The Academy Award winner singer was obviously very upset after he saw some stewards hired for his gig try to control the crowd's behavior over a no-waving policy and went on a cursing spree, news.com.au reports.

"I came here to play music, now all you stewards down there, especially the woman in the ponytail, f***ing lighten up, will you?

"These people have come to hear music and if they want to put their hands in the air, let them. This is not f***ing China, so p*** off."

After being singled out, the woman reportedly walked off in tears. Her identity remains undisclosed.

Sir Elton John was then quick to ask for apology and even asked the steward concerned to come up on stage with him and share his piano stool and gave her a hug.

"It's not good enough to say that," the 68-year-old music legend tells the audience and implying that the woman was just doing her job and that the shot should be at the person who gave them the order. "Whoever told the stewards to be that strict, that's their fault and not hers, and I apologise and I will be willing to apologise to her face." He further explains, "no-one should ever talk to a lady like that. I'm very, very apologetic."

Some of his fans were disappointed with some posting the video of the rant on the video-sharing site YouTube, while others take his side for making a stand.

This is not the first time the 6-Grammy-Award recipient is seen being vocal about his thoughts. Just this March, he was caught in a controversy with Dolce & Gabbana and there have been an exchange of not-so-nice words.
