Samsung Galaxy S6 vs. Samsung Galaxy S6 Active: Review, Price & Specs; New Model an 'Insult' to S6 Users?

Samsung is yet to release another edition of the mobile phone S Series, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active. Apparently, not everyone is happy with the news as the new model is reportedly an insult to those who own Samsung Galaxy S6, which was released last April 10.

According to the article published by BGR, Samsung S6 Active is an "insult" to S6 users because of the new model's battery. Samsung S6 Active has 3500mAh while Samsung S6 only has 2500mAh.

BGR cited in its report Abhijeet M. of Sam Mobile, who wrote, "But while we were only just getting used to the fact that we will have to live with the unimpressive battery life on the S6 duo, Samsung has now come out with the Galaxy S6 Active, making us wonder if the company could have done something to make the batteries on the S6 and S6 edge even slightly smaller." He continues, "Okay, so maybe a 3,000 mAh battery would be a stretch and ruin the immaculate designs, but Samsung could have at least stuck to the 2,800 mAh battery from the Galaxy S5."

In response to this, BGR said that they don't necessarily think that the new model is an "insult" to its predecessors. Brad Reed of BGR pointed out that there are just some factors in each phone model that are prioritized. According to him, though S6 Active has a more impressive battery, it cannot neccesarily "win any awards for beauty," the same way that it's not going to be a niche product or major money maker.

Meanwhile, Samsung has not yet revealed the release date of Samsung Galaxy S6 Active. AT&T's launch page only says the device is "coming soon." According to speculations, the device will be available this month. In line with this, NDTV Gadgets, has listed the following specs of the new Samsung phone:
