Katy Perry Revenge Song '1984' Not Hers, Belongs To Swedish Artist

Katy Perry recently registered a song coined 1984 that has sparked the feud between singer/songwriter, Taylor Swift. The rumored Katy Perry 1984 song was tagged as a rival song for Swift's 1989 album. However, according to TMZ, the singer behind the smash hit, Roar, has nothing to do with the 1984 song. It is a different Katy Perry, but the timing of the controversy has sparked the 2 Katys and Swift.

The song was registered with BMI last September and was listed under the name Katy who incidentally is a Swedish song writer. There are two additional names that were listed under the song - Dallas Austin and Andreas Carlsson.

For those who are oblivious of how that feud started between the two superstars, it began in September last year when Swift got pissed after three of her backup dancers bailed out and decided to go with Perry. However, it is also known that the 3 dancers worked longer with the Firework singer compared to their stint with the Shake It Off superstar.

Also, the two singers were romantically linked with musician John Mayer which is again another side of the 1984 versus the 1989 song/singer rivalry.

On related news, Defamer, an online news entertainment magazine has questioned if the song 1984 was a form of revenge by Katy Perry for the bitter Taylor Swift or a mere coincidence.

Swift and Perry were good friends before the table was turned and everything turned sour.
