Fans of the massive erotic novel, 50 Shades of Grey by author E.L. James, might have to wait a little bit longer than a week which is the book's expected formal launch. Why? It's because the original copy was stolen as reported by Mirror. According to the report, the suspected theft is under investigation together with the publisher, Penguin Random House, despite the concern that the original copy might have already been sold out to the highest bidder in the black market.
The police was quickly prompted when the original book was reported stolen and had launched a massive investigation, including a close watch on the black market with the hopes of retrieving the material.
E.L. James started the trilogy as fan fiction but gained a wide range of fan base. The author is now ranked at the Sunday Times Rich List with a fortune of 75 million pounds. The book catapulted James to the elite status after it produced 125 million copies globally.
The newest book, according to E! Online, is being delivered on the billionaire's point of view. James explained the character of Christian Grey during an interview as a complex character that kept the readers fascinated by the young billionaire's desires and motivations and of course, his troubled past.
James also revealed that she just wants a book to entertain herself and the success of the book was way above her imagination. Her only ambition was to publish the book and wanted to see it one day in a book store.
With the book's success, it was adapted into a movie that also equaled the success of the book. The book and the movie tells the tale of young billionaire, Christian Grey, who had extreme sexual fantasies. He turned them into reality through Anastasia "Ana" Steele to which he eventually fell in love with.
