'Scandal' Season 5 Premiere 2015 Preview: Elizabeth North Takes Control At The White House; Huck, Rowan Pope Team Up To Not Last Long?

The upcoming Season 5 of "Scandal" may see some of the biggest changes in the show's history. Now that Elizabeth North (Portia de Rossi) is the new chief of staff at the White House, what possible changes could she bring about?

Additionally, Huck (Guillermo Diaz) previously worked for Rowan Pope (Joe Morton) during last season's final episode of "Scandal." At present, Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) is still unaware of Huck's bold move but knowing how the series goes, Olivia will surely figure things out in Season 5.

According to Ecumenical News, Elizabeth's new position as the chief of staff could only mean one thing - trouble. In Season 4, it was revealed that Elizabeth was not really helping Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young) in her campaign to become a senator, the president of the United States then.

With this, fans are speculating that Elizabeth will not have President Fitzgerald Grant's (Tony Goldwyn) back. By the looks of it, Elizabeth will only use the information she will get from the White House for her own personal gain. Does she want to take over President Fitz's position later on? This could be a huge possibility.

Meanwhile, Diaz previously talked about the fate of his character in Season 5 and said that there's a possibility he could be killed off by show creator Shonda Rhimes.

While speaking to TV Guide, Diaz said, "I don't know. I wouldn't want to tell Olivia. I think this is something they'd keep a secret from her for a long time, maybe forever. I would imagine if Huck does live, these two would keep it a secret and not tell anyone."

Diaz added that Olivia may not be able to forgive Huck for his wrongdoing, so there is a possibility that he may no longer work as a Gladiator. If Diaz's character continues to live, he could eventually team up with Papa Pope.

"Scandal" Season 5 will premiere on ABC in the fall.
