"Titanic" star Leonardo DiCaprio reportedly sued a French magazine for saying that his rumored girlfriend, Rihanna, is pregnant with his child.
According to KPopStarz, DiCaprio filed a lawsuit against Oops after the publication used the story on their cover page. Additionally, Oops allegedly reported that DiCaprio does not want to have anything to do with the baby.
Originally written in French, the headline of the story read, "Rihanna Pregnant With Leonardo's Baby: He Doesn't Want The Baby."
According to TMZ, DiCaprio found out about the story while he was at the Cannes Film Festival last month. After obtaining copies of the magazine's issue, the "Wolf of Wall Street" actor filed a lawsuit and is currently seeking more than $20,000 in damages and legal fees.
Meanwhile, Gossip Cop recently spoke with the owner of Oops, Frederic Truskolaski, who said that they were aware Rihanna wasn't pregnant. In fact, the owner of the publication even revealed that a lot of his staff and reporters read stories about Rihanna and DiCaprio, so they are updated with their actual story.
However, Truskolaski said that even though they were unsure whether or not the "Stay" singer was pregnant, they thought she might be and so they decided to run the story. Still, even though he acknowledged his mistake, Truskolaski said that he is still shocked that DiCaprio will file a lawsuit against Oops. He added that it's quite possible that this is the first time the actor filed a lawsuit against a French publication.
As of late, Rihanna and DiCaprio have not yet released a statement regarding the issue. In fact, the two never even confirmed or denied that they are indeed a couple. Fans are merely speculating that they are an item after a series of photos featuring the two looking all sweet and cuddly surfaced online.
