"Halo 5: Guardians" welcomes back one of the title's most popular characters, namely Orbital Drop Shock Trooper Edward, who first appeared in "Halo 3: ODST." This was confirmed in the upcoming July issue of Game Informer, as reported on digitalspy.com.uk.
Chief Edward joins the legendary Blue Team in both single-player and four-player co-op game play, as the new game features new maps, weapons and strategies.
The voice and image of Chief Edward was lent by actor Nathan Fillion, who is best known as Richard Castle in cop-series "Castle" as well as the short-lived sci-fi series "Firely," where he played Captain Reynolds. According to a report from gamezone.com, Fillion said, "I'm a Halo guy. The Bungie folks were kind enough to have me do a voice for 'Halo 3.' So there's nothing like sitting down to a nice game of 'Halo' and shooting at myself."
The new details of the latest "Halo" game includes Master Chief running alongside Blue Team members Linda, Kelly and Fred. In another storyline, Agent Locke would have his own team go up against the famed Spartans. All of the characters have been declared AWOL, according to a report from destructoid.com.
The cover art, according to digitalspy.com, was unveiled recently by 343 Industries. The image shows Master Chief going up against Agent Locke in an apparent showdown.
The game would be available only for Xbox One by October 27, which is sold together with a limited edition console specifically designed for "Halo 5." "Halo 5" would have 20 maps, and an additional 15 more maps will be available by June 2016.
According to a report from gematsu.com, aside from the "Halo 5" cover story, the July issue of Game Informer will also feature a review on "Abzu", which was announced in the 2014 E3 for Playstation 4, as well as "Skylanders: Superchargers" and "Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey."
