When Bonnie and Clyde together make money, they surely can make a billion dollars.
Vogue had reported diva Beyonce Knowles and rap mogul Jay Z to be pop music's first billionaire couple. According to Vogue, Beyonce headlined her world tour 'The Mrs. Carter Show' and had collaborations with Pepsi and H&M in 2013. Jay Z had businesses of his own, co-founding Roc Nation, co-owning nightclub 40/40, and co-creating fashion label Rocawear, among others.
How has the power couple been storming year 2015?
While clearly struggling with launching his new music streaming service Tidal, Jay Z has still managed to land second place in Forbes Five- a list of hiphop's wealthiest - which was released in the Forbes magazine May 25 issue. Shawn 'Jay Z' Carter is sized up to have an estimated net worth of $550 million. Sean 'Diddy' Combs raced ahead of Jay Z in the list with a net worth of $735 million.
Jay Z acquired Tidal for $56 million in March, and the multi-artist's owned streaming service has been running for three months, confirms Entrepreneur. Hollywood Take reveals that Tidal has been difficult to sell to consumers as it has appeared to be too expensive on their part.
On the other side of the coin, Mrs. Carter has also been making a hold on her own. Beyonce, Entrepreneur reports, has also gained success with her visual album, and the diva has recently just embarked in the industry of food. The Queen B launched her vegan food delivery service 22 Days Nutrition, which had earned a lot of criticisms by how the star barely eats vegan herself.
Both Jay Z and Beyonce are experiencing challenges in their entrepreneurial ventures, but a recent New Orleans property purchase still proves the couple bankable. According to Hollywood Take, the billionaire couple reportedly acquired a three-story property, 13,292 square feet, located at New Orlean's Garden District. Though without an official confirmation, records reveal that the property is now owned by an LLC with the same address as Bey's management company, reports Hollywood Take.
Nevertheless, the power couple and parents to Blue Ivy aren't sailing their financial ship nowhere unknown, and they still remain as two of the music industry's richest.
