The smash hit game, Assassin's Creed, will be releasing books as announced by its developer, Ubisoft. According to IGN, Ubisoft confirmed that they will release a novel and an official Assassin's Creed Syndicate art book before the year ends. The developer confirmed the 8th novel of the Assassin's Creed universe, which will be called Assassin's Creed Underworld. The novel will be penned by Ubisoft's resident and official Assassin's Creed novel writer, Oliver Bowden.
Assassin's Creed Underworld will focus on a lingering battle between the arch-rivals - the Assassins and Templars in the 1800s, right in the heart of London. The 8th Assassin's Creed offering follows Henry "The Ghost" Green, which is an assassin and serves as a mentor to Assassin's Creed Syndicate's protagonists, the twins Jacob and Evie Frye.
In addition to the novel, Ubisoft will also release an art book coined The Art of Assassin's Creed Syndicate which they plan to release right after the newest Assassin's Creed game on October 27. It will be a 192-page book with unreleased concept art and comments from its artists and developers. Ubisoft also announced that they will release a limited special slipcase edition for the artwork that includes signed Assassin's Creed Syndicate concept art prints.
About the game itself, Ebuzzworld earlier reported that the Quebec-based developer will release the game in October playable for Sony's PlayStation 4 and Microsoft's Xbox One. The desktop version of the game, according to Ubisoft, is on the pipeline.
Ubisoft confirmed that the next Assassin's Creed offering will have a bigger and larger area (of course playable), the fighting will be 10 times or even 100 times brutal than the previous games as they will fight with rival gangs and will try to grow their circles in London.
It is also expected that Ubisoft will spill more beans on the upcoming E3 press conference on June 15.
