Just a week after her captivating Vanity Fair debut, Caitlyn Jenner faces another lawsuit in connection with a February car crash involving her, which killed one. Kim Howe, 69 years old, perished in the crash, and a lawsuit last May was filed by her stepchildren against Jenner.
This time, talent agent Jessica Steindorff files her own case against Jenner, one of the four who was involved in the Pacific Coast Highway crash, reports BBC. She lists 'Bruce Jenner a.k.a. Caitlyn Jenner', who is currently facing 'wrongful death' lawsuit, as defendant, according to Daily Mail.
The fatal car crash involved four cars, one driven by the then-known Bruce Jenner. Jenner's Cadillac allegedly rear-ended Kim Howe's Lexus and then Steindorff's Prius, which was infront of the Lexus. Pushed onto an incoming traffic, Howe's vehicle was smashed by a Hummer seconds away from contact with Jenner's car, reports Newser, and this killed Howe. According to Business Insider, Jenner, 65, survived the accident without injuries, but in addition to Howe's death, four others were injured, including Hollywood talent agent Steindorff.
BBC reports that Steindorff filed suit in Los Angeles Superior Court seeking unspecified damages. Steindorff, 29, who counts Victoria Secret angel Alessandra Ambrosio as one of her clients, reportedly was carrying a suspended license at the time, according to Daily Mail. Her lawyer has defended the fact saying that she was unaware of it. TMZ reports that Steindorff claims she has suffered several physical injuries. Daily Mail reports that Steindorff has reportedly been cooperative with investigators. Her Prius went on a halt behind a line of cars, which were on red light, when she was rear-ended.
However, she does not specify the particular nature and extent of her injuries, reports TMZ. In addition to sustaining injuries, Steindorff claims she has lost wages and her Prius was badly wrecked.
Jenner had not commented about the lawsuit, but the reality star is deeply disheartened by the chain of events, reports Daily Mail.
